I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
- Isaiah 43:19
|
What an amazing time we had last night listening to testimony after testimony of the faithfulness of God to bless us and to bring Himself glory out of difficult and seemingly disastrous situations.
It reminds me of the third part of the verse we have been looking at lately...
For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
What an exceptional promise, "I will make a pathway through the wilderness." God promises to make a way for you to walk through the difficult and treacherous places...
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. - 1 Cor 4:7-9
What's so wonderful about our God is that He blesses us so much even through our trials...
For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined... Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will declare what He has done for my soul. - Ps 66:10,16
Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word... It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees. - Ps 119:67-71
Remember, Jesus is our Trailblazer and we are following after Him. He's with us on this pathway through the wilderness and He'll never let us walk alone. He's been this way before and He is already victorious. You've got nothing to fear. Enjoy the walk with Him.
