For I am about to do something new...
- Isaiah 43:19

How exciting!!!
Last night we finished the Book of Job and God finally answered Job out of the whirlwind... by asking him seventy-seven more questions. Questions concerning the majesty and might of His creation and Job's inability to comprehend, control or contend with what He has made.
God's point, I believe, was found in Job 41:10, "Who then is able to stand against Me?"
He described the behemoth that had a tail like a cedar tree and bones like beams of bronze. He described the Leviathan, a creature so imposing that God said, "No one is so fierce that he would dare stir him up... When he raises himself up the mighty are afraid." Imagining yourself standing before one of these animals was enough to send chills up your spine.
Now... imagine standing before the God that created the behemoth and the Leviathan. Imagine standing in front of the One who could put the Leviathan on a leash and play with him like a little puppy. This is the One that we stand before. This is the One that we serve. This is the One that has said, "Behold, I am about to do something new..."
Look at the rest of the verse and consider each part carefully... prayerfully... believing the Lord.
For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
I am so excited about what the Almighty God has already begun to do...
