Hi good friend!
The kids are back in school, and while some children's ministers, Sunday school teachers, educators and  parents
are making last-minute decisions about curricula for this school year,
others are looking well ahead to - yes, you're there already -
Christmas! The time to rehearse Christmas programs will soon be here.
A
couple of years ago, a preschool teacher who had successfully used two
of our Christmas musicals asked for two more, because the same children
were in her program four years in a row, and she didn't want to repeat
musicals with them. So we wrote two more and introduced one last fall.
We now have all four Christmas musicals in stock, and  this month, we are highlighting the fourth: To Us A Child Is Born. It's based on Old Testament prophecies about a coming King and Savior. After each prophecy, the children ask, "When will He come? Who will He be? We will have to wait and see." At the end, the narrator asks, "Did God keep His promise?" - which, of course, is answered by the children with a big "Yes!" before they close with the theme song. If you've used my musicals before, you know that optional activities are
included in the script so teachers can make class time the rehearsal
time. We also include a CD. The entire musical takes only 10 minutes
to perform, and is age-appropriate for ages 2-5. Click on these links

We're also highlighting the Active Learning Series consisting of Arts and Crafts (volumes 1 & 2), Action Rhymes & Active Games, Snacktivities, Story Telling, and Exploring God's World
(science-related activities) for ages 2-5. (The entire series contains
a total of over 800 activities.) I created these books, because
sometimes we teachers need extra activities, or alternate activities.
Or we have a special program with no set curriculum, just a Bible story
for the time we're given.
Because
I've been a teacher, I know it's time-consuming to search through
activity books to find an activity that might work with the Bible story
you're teaching. So I made an index of Bible stories in the back of
each book, cross-referenced to the activities that would be appropriate
for that specific story - which means these books work with any
curriculum, even my own Bible Time. In fact, with a little creativity, you could use these indexes to help build your own curriculum. Hmmm . . . possibilities!
