A Word from Karyn
|
|
Greetings!
I know the coming month is going to be full of graduation and end-of-school activities for most of you. And no doubt you're gearing up for the summer months.
Maybe you're considering what kind of classes to provide for the preschool children of your VBS workers. Or your church is planning a special equipping event for your members or an outreach event for your city, and you are responsible for child care. Maybe you need a portable children's curriculum for a missions trip - or even a curriculum to tide you over during an interim as you switch from one type of study to the next with your children. In any case, consider trying our folders for preschool and kindergarten age children.
Those of you who have known us awhile will recognize these eight-page "folders" right away. They were originally put on the market by a large publishing company and were very popular. I was sorry to see them go out of print, as were many of you. Over the past several years, we've received many requests for them, as well as lots of comments from people who still had their folders and wanted to let us know how much they enjoyed them.
Needless to say, I'm very glad we are now in a position to begin putting them back in print. We're starting with a few at a time. Each folder covers an age-appropriate Bible topic with enough art, science, cooking, music and game activities to last four class sessions. All very affordable. They're just perfect for pulling out of your file at a moment's notice when you need to have a lesson for preschoolers.
Other News: You might want to check out the Podcast page of my website. We've made my Child Talk™ Seminar available as well as recent workshops I've given. You can download them (for FREE) and then play them via your podcast software, like I-Tunes. Even the handouts are downloadable. So enjoy!
If you are unfamiliar with podcast technology, please don't feel intimidated. We have links at our website and in this newsletter (scroll down to "What is a Podcast?) to help you implement this exciting communication medium.
Happy May!
By God's grace, to His glory,
Karyn Henley

Does this question sound familiar?
"A closely-graded curriculum just doesn't work with my mixed-age class. Is there an alternative curriculum that utilizes the creative teaching style of me and my staff?"
The answer is "yes."
The group-graded Bible Learning Series Folders contain material from the closely-graded PLAYSONGS® Bible Time Curriculum for Toddlers thru Kindergarten in a flexible, non-dated format ideal for multi-age classes, day care, and non-traditional teaching opportunities.
Each 8-page folder contains enough material for 4 early childhood sessions, including kid-friendly activities and applicable reproducibles.
Clearly defined goals are achieved through Bible stories, Bible verses and songs for each 4-lesson unit--ideal for a one-month study. Children learn scriptural concepts through activities such as science, story time, music & movement, cooking, art and games.
