Dr. Ann McKee and Chris Nowinski Meet with the NFL on Concussion Policy
"The
NFL's Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (MTBI) Committee, in coordination
with the NFL and the NFL Players Association, held a conference May 19
at NFL Headquarters in New York City.
The five-hour meeting was held in response to ongoing debate within the
medical community on the precise long-term effects of concussions and
how they relate to other risk factors. The NFL invited multiple
neurological experts to present their research in an effort to better
understand the cumulative effects of head trauma experienced in former
