118 babies have been buried in Garden of Innocence San Diego
Granville June 12, 2010 | Since December we have buried nine children: Sean, Shaylah, Howard, Freddie, Andrew, Hope, Chad, Granville and Pearl. Being family for these babies has required a tremendous amount of commitment from our honor guard (4th Degree Knights of Columbus) and vendors who provide free and discounted products and services for our organization (such as mortuary services, vaults, headstones, music, set-up of the garden area, officiating, dove release, and more). Many visitors have faithfully come to pay their respects to our children and many have contributed time and/or funds to help support the cost of maintaining our mission. The Board and Members-at-Large of GOI San Diego thank you all so much! Please visit Our Community pages on our website, and see how many people and companies support our mission. If you need the kinds of services they provide, we hope you will consider thanking them with your business. |
Garden of Innocence Columbarium
IF YOU HAVEN'T SUBMITTED YOUR COMMENT YET PLEASE DO SO NOW. We're still seeking your comments! To the left is an artist rendering of a project Garden of Innocence is considering. This beautiful columbarium will be located in the Garden of Innocence Lawn at El Camino Memorial Park behind the sitting bench, to the right of the Rachel statue. Of course, the photo does not do it justice - it will be made of two very beautiful stone choices and niches will be available on both sides of the structure. We are trying to determine if there is enough interest to proceed with developing this project. If you would be interested in your final resting place being in the Garden of Innocence Columbarium, please send your interest and any questions by email to Rebecca Melendez or call Rebecca at (858)688-1159. Thank you in advance for your prompt reply! We need all email responses by July 15, 2010.
