Our thanks to you for loving the children in the Garden of Innocence.  If you attend our services, and are willing to help (read a poem, release a dove or help in any other way), please speak to anyone wearing a Garden of Innocence badge upon your arrival.  We're always happy to incorporate your support.

Did you know that Garden of Innocence/San Diego now has a sister organization? It is called Garden of Innocence National and its' sole purpose is to teach others, outside of San Diego, how to recreate a Garden of Innocence program in their areas. Our little garden in San Diego has opened the eyes of a nation to the needs of abandoned children!

A lot of contacts have been made and inquiries are coming from all over the United States and foreign countries!  One garden is up and running in St. Louis, MO. Gardens are soon to start in Las Vegas and Houston, as well.  Groundwork has been laid in Galveston, TX and trips are scheduled to Washington DC and New York.

Garden of Innocence National is seeking donations to fulfill their mission.  Some funds will support the teaching effort for providing dignified burials for abandoned, deceased children.  Other funds will go toward promoting education of the "Safe Arms" laws where a baby can be turned over to a hospital within 72 hours of birth with no questions asked. This will save a child and allow that child to go to a new adoptive home where the parents are ready to love them.

Please consider donations to Garden of Innocence/San Diego and Garden of Innocence National when assigning your charitable giving this holiday season.

Visit the Garden of Innocence National website to learn more or donate. And, if you know anyone in another area who might be interested, please use this "forward to a friend" link:

In addition to this e-newsletter the Garden of Innocence sends a print newsletter with even more newsy information about how we serve the babies.  If we don't have your street address on file, please click on the "Join our Mailing List" link in this newsletter and submit it to us.

Sincerely,

Tell Your Story

Volunteer, Juanita, has this to say about "her story" with the Garden of Innocence:

I've been going to the garden for more than two years. I saw the notice of a memorial service. At first, I gave a lot of thought about going because I'm usually terrified of cemeteries. But I went to the Garden of Innocence memorial service.

Ever since I feel  more comfortable in a cemetery, because these babies deserve this and so much more.

I love to help the babies by coming to the services and helping to line caskets. These help me say,
"Thank you" to God for everything He has given to my family.

Isn't that great!  Do you have a story you can share?  If so, reply to this email with your story!
