CEO of the Year Awards

Greetings!  

 

Our annual retreat was held at the Wentworth by the Sea in New Castle, NH.  Close to 30 members participated in the event.  Our activity this year was to surf on the waves of Rye Beach, NH.  We had around twenty of our most daring CEOs enjoy the October water and all stood up on their boards!  Roger Greene, CEO of Ipswitch, was thoughtful enough to blog about it with some photos.  To read more click: http://www.ipswitch.com/ceo/surfs-up/. 

 

The day and a half- as always- was packed with content.  Our guest speaker, Economist Gary Bigg of Bank of America presented interesting economic data as well as the bank's view on the economy. 

  

Based on their depth of their experience, members were asked to share their expertise with colleagues on select topics of interest.  Presentations included:

Following these presentations, members participated in smaller, carefully selected & facilitated group discussions by which they shared individual challenges, lessons learned and insights.

 

The CEO of the Year Award is delivered to one CEO from each of the Advanced CEO Peer Member Groups.  Like many awards, it is prestigious and an honor for the winner.  It is different because it is given by their peers, voted on in anonymity and cherished as being a testament to their thoughtful and sometimes difficult time spent working on their respective businesses.
