Welcome to Our Newest Member, Mike Thompson, CEO of Egenera!
 
We are very excited about adding Mike to our Advanced Peer Group Program. 
 
Mike recently assumed the role of President and CEO of Egenera having been COO since 2002 when shipments were just getting underway.  Mike has over 25 years of expertise in both enterprise technology sales and operations. Mike has been recognized by Mass High Tech as a New England High Tech All Star for his role in helping Egenera to increase revenues, epand internationally and secure significant well valued venture capital financing. 
 
Prior to Engeneral, Mike was SVP of WW Sales and Marketing at Stratus Technologies where he also served on the Board of Directors. At Stratus, he manged a 400 person operation generating more than $700m in annual revenues.
 
Egenera is a venture backed, high growth IT company founded in 2001 by Vern Brownell, former CTO of Goldman Sachs. Egenera sells its data center virtualization system to over 160 enterprises.  It's product has received numerous awards including Red Herring North America top 100 and Top 1- startus to watch by Network World.
