New Park City Neighborhood Pages
If you haven't checked out the YouInParkCity.com website lately, you're in for a lot of changes. We've added new neighborhood sections to the site. Local Park City areas are broken down into neighborhoods as described by the Park City Board of Realtors and our MLS service. When you open up an area, you'll see a photo depicting an area landmark or view, statistics regarding recent sales, availability and pricing, and a description of the neighborhood.
Do us a favor and check out your favorite neighborhood. Tell us what you like best about the neighborhood (this could be the people, the views, the weather (sunny with calm breezes), the nearby schools or stores, proximity to parks, skiing, or whatever) and we'll add that to the description. Maybe we'll even give you credit for the quote!

New Sales Statistics  We have year end statistics for the Park City Multiple Listing Service (MLS) available. As we always note, real estate is a local subject, not a national one, and each property can have its own specific reason to be "up or down" versus its neighbor. Overall statistics tend to hide or mask and distort many things.
That being said, sales transaction in terms of unit numbers are down, but dollar sales volume is up (fewer sales, but at higher prices). Currently the number of available listings is up as are the average days on market.

We're Blogging Now  Our recent upgrades have also added a blog to our website. We will try and write a few times a week. Topics can include anything, but we'll always try and put some spin on them so they relate to Park City real estate (though it will be impossible not to discuss our other passions (skiing, golfing, biking, etc.)). Blogs have the ability to allow us to interact with you in a conversation that everyone can read, so go ahead and send your comments or topics on which you'd like our opinion. |

Video Tours
Hopefully it is apparent from our newsletter content that we are fully committed to new ideas and new products. We believe that we can constantly improve and are always on the look-out for new technology that can help people buy and sell their homes more easily.
As we look forward, we are currently working on some of the "back-end" areas of our website to allow for video tours.
We feel that this will be the wave of the future when it comes to marketing homes. A video versus a virtual tour will allow the viewer to get a feel for how the home lays out. We will also be able to focus and better describe unique features of the home in the video. We feel that this will be a more realistic way to show a home. Does anyone really stand in the middle of a room and spin around to see it? No, and that is the basis of a virtual tour.
Look to our site in the near future to see videos of all our listings as well as neighborhood tours.
