Sustainable First Mondays are on the calendar.  Come and learn about a new topic or share information about something you are doing.
Quarterly Matinees that Matter will be coming to the historic Lynwood Theatre beginning in March.
And there's more information about SB's Zero Waste initiative.

From buzzing bees to zero waste and garbage dumps in Cairo, you'll find upcoming events and initiatives in this month's newsletter.   Sustainable Bainbridge is working to find the connections that help inform and sustain our community.

If you don't find something here that interests or inspires you, please let us know what matters to you.  Sharing ideas strengthens relationships, weaves a community together and becomes the heart of sustainability.  You can contact us at info@sustainablebainbridge.net.  We look forward to hearing from you!

What's the Buzz all About?!

The next Sustainable First Monday will be on March 1 from 7 p.m to 9 p.m. at the  Commons on Brien Drive.

Join us that night to hear all about one of the most fascinating and useful insects--bees. From native pollinators like Mason bees and bumble bees, to raising bees for honey and the spread of Colony Collapse Disorder, local beekeepers will share their experiences and answer your questions.  Learn what you can do to help support this critical function in our global food chain.

Sustainable Bainbridge will again be partnering  with the historic Lynwood Theatre to show an engaging and important film each quarter this coming year.   The season will open with GARBAGE DREAMS, the story of three teenage boys born into the trash trade and growing up in the world's largest garbage village on the outskirts of Cairo. The film will be shown at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, March 20 and 21 at Lynwood Theatre.  Admission is $9 and helps support the work of Sustainable Bainbridge.  Mark your calendar now so you won't miss this film!
