Help Stamp Out Hunger!
2012 Help Stamp Out Hunger
Saturday, May 12 is the annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive.
Leave your food donations at your mailbox and Letter Carriers will collect the items as they make their rounds that day.  Rural carriers will assist in the collection effort, also.  All food will be delivered to local food shelves.

The Letter Carrier food drive is an excellent way to help increase the supply of food for the summer months when more food is needed because children are at home and not able to have school lunches.   Purchase a few extra grocery items like canned meats, fish, soup, juice, pasta, canned vegetables, cereal and rice this week to leave by your mailbox.  (Please make sure to select non-breakable items.)
Prescription and Over-the-Counter Drug Collection
Do you have unused, expired, unwanted prescription drugs or over-the-counter medications?  Do you want a safe place to dispose of these items so that they don't get into the wrong hands or create harm to children or the environment?  There is a safe disposal box in the lobby of the Marshall-Lyon County Law Enforcement Center, 611 W Main Street, Marshall.  You can drop off items 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
Mobile Learning - Wild about Reading Activities Begin June 5.

Volunteers are needed to read to young children in parks throughout this area this summer.  Click here for link to schedule. Books, snacks and plans for activities are all provided.  Send us an email if you are interested in helping by clicking here.
