Thanks Volunteers!
Greetings!
United Way of Southwest Minnesota launched its annual fund-raising campaign with a series of Days of Action activities which had numerous individuals and groups engaged with areas of need in this area.

Basic food items and personal items were collected for food shelves throughout the area.

Volunteers constructed shelves and painted walls in preparation for the Kitchen Table Food Shelf move.

125 volunteers of all ages and backgrounds helped move food, shelving and appliances; clean the old location and helped get shelves restocked.  The new Kitchen Table Food Shelf is located at 1400 S. Saratoga in Marshall, MN.  See photos.

United Way of Southwest Minnesota hopes to raise $500,000 during this fall's fund-raising campaign.

What happens with funds that are raised during the campaign?

Your donation to United Way of Southwest Minnesota is a powerful way to invest in your community because when it is combined with others:

  • You put books into the hands of young children and build a lifelong love of reading.
  • You provide nutritious food for hungry children and families who need it.
  • You bring back nearly $1 million each year into the local economy by sponsoring volunteer tax clinics.
  • You help youth, families and individuals adjust to loss and difficult situations.
  • You provide safety and security for innocent victims of violence.
  • You teach positive parenting skills and build stronger families.

All this and much more happens for people who live in this area.  Visit our webpage for more information.
