Happy summer CIHS community!
Dear CIHS Community Members,
I hope everyone is enjoying summer and busy planning vacations. We are excited to present three articles in our July newsletter. First, we are pleased to announce the launch of CIHS' Healing Room with Dr. Sailaja Pasululeti. It is a privilege to be able to offer this healing treatment at CIHS, and she is ready to aid you in healing and promoting mental and physical wellness. Please see the flyer for details and contact information.
Second, we thank Dr. Koji Tsuchiya for his attendance at the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine (ISSSEEM). Dr. Tsuchiya served as a speaker and participated in a panel discussion at the conference. This was an amazing opportunity to present the unique research we do to this Society.
Lastly, we announce our annual Bio-Energy Devices & Research Seminar/Workshop scheduled on July 22nd through 24th. This is an invaluable occasion to learn bio-energy science and hear about the most recent research by prominent speakers, Drs. Claude Swanson, Beverly Rubik, William Tiller and Hiroshi Motoyama. CIHS Opens a Healing Room...!
"Energy Healing" is becoming increasingly popular in today's world. For thousands of years non-physical subtle energies, variously referred to in esoteric traditions, are said to be invoked during the healing process. Deficiency, excess, imbalance, blockage of the subtle energies in the person's "energy body" are often identified as the underlying cause(s) for his or her physical and/or psychological ailments and stresses. The healer's work is then performed on the person's "energy body," infusing fresh energies, removing the blockages, and re-adjusting the balance, to name just a few of the benefits, which will translate to the physical body in aiding the restoration of wellness and improving health.
In CIHS' fundamental principles, Dr. Motoyama specifically states, "To establish Energy Medicine, which will prevent diseases and promote health" is one of the primary goals of CIHS. Therefore, "Energy Healing" is critically important as integral part of holistic medicine and health.
Thus, we are very pleased to announce the official launch of CIHS' Healing Room with Dr. Sailaja Pasupuleti, a Level I, II & III certified Reconnective Healer and Spiritual Counselor. The ISSSEEM Conference:
A Brief Report

The International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine (ISSSEEM) is a leading organization to promote the study and application of subtle energy/energy medicine through the activities of conferences, publications, and many other forums. Their ultimate goal is to bridge science and spirituality by encouraging scientific research and raising awareness of the multi-dimensional nature of our being. ISSSEEM held its 21st Annual Conference, Light & Vision Consciousness, June 24-27, at the Westin in Westminster, Colorado, and I was priviledged to attend and participate. There were more than 400 participants, including leading scientists, healers, gifted artists, exhibitors and conference organizers. The invited speakers this year included such eminent researchers as Dr. Jacob Liberman, Dr. Amit Goswami, Dr. Bruce Lipton, Sonia Barrett, and Michael Bernard Beckwith, just to name a few.
As a representative of CIHS, I attended the Conference as well as the Research Symposium, which preceded the Conference, with three main purposes: 1) presenting the findings of research conducted at CIHS; 2) networking with participating researchers, institutes, and scientific research groups; 3) promoting the 2nd Bio-Energy Devices & Research Seminar/Workshop scheduled for July 22-24 being held at CIHS.
Approximately two hundred people participated in the Research Symposium. First, there was a panel discussion entitled, "The Toughest Research Problems Facing Energy Medicine Research." I was honored to serve as one of the four panel members. I discussed the reproducibility problems we often experience in our research. In particular, test results with the same subjects and the same healer can be very different each time under the same experimental conditions. We realized that each result is unique and focused on monitoring the changes in each case. This approach led to meaningful findings about the movement of subtle energy during the healing process. I was honored to be able to share the innovative research on healing that we conduct at CIHS.
Additionally, there were "break-out sessions" at four different venues in the hotel. My presentation was entitled, "Synchronous changes in ki-energy between the healer and the subject through Hypnotherapy healing trial." I presented the results of continuous AMI experiments of the healer and the subject showing synchronous ki-energy changes, which have never been reported so far.
During the three-day conference, I had the opportunity to meet many researchers who are doing research with healers using both conventional and unconventional devices, and I enjoyed sharing our experiences at CIHS. Some of them expressed their keen interests in our studies as well as the research facilities we have here at CIHS. I had several unexpected meetings with scientists and healers of Reiki type healing, distance healing, psychokinesis, and other mystical healing techniques. As a result, there is now the future possibility of collaborative research projects.
There were several opportunities for me to distribute flyers for our Bio-Energy Devices & Research Seminar/Workshop to as many conference participants as possible, encouraging them to come and join in our exciting events in July with distinguished guest speakers including Drs. William Tiller, Beverly Rubik, Shin Lin, Claude Swanson and Juan Acosta-Urquidi. Many people showed interest. Thus, we are anticipating that our July event will be a big success.
During my time at the conference, I met many people who knew about CIHS and our subtle energy research through our website. It was a pleasant surprise to me that some people knew my face through the website and came to talk to me like friends saying, "I saw you in your website. It's very nice to meet you in person here." I was left with the impression that many people in subtle energy science are aware of the presence of CIHS, and the field is paying attention to our activities. It is exciting to be known like this, and my conviction that CIHS has a lot to contribute as one of the leaders in this exciting new science was confirmed.

The 2nd Bio-Energy Devices & Research Seminar/Workshop
Dear Friends of Bio-energy Science,
We hope you have enjoyed our series of seminars and lectures exploring the exciting research being conducted in mapping the anatomy and physiology of the human biofield. This July we invite you back to the California Institute for Human Science (CIHS) as we welcome our most distinguished speaker to date, in addition other eminent speakers from the field.
Dr. Bill Tiller
Fellow to the American Academy for the Advancement of Science, Professor Emeritus William A. Tiller, of Stanford University's Department of Material Science, spent 34 years in academia after 9 years as an advisory physicist with the Westinghouse Research Laboratories. He has published over 250 conventional scientific papers, 3 books and several patents. In parallel, for over 30 years, he has been avocationally pursuing serious experimental and theoretical study of the field of psychoenergetics, which will very likely become an integral part of "tomorrow's" physics. In this new area, he has published an additional 100 scientific papers and four seminal books, which include:
*Psychoenergetic Science: A Second Copernican-Scale Revolution
*Some Science Adventures with Real Magic
*Conscious Acts of Creation: The Emergence of a New Physics
*Science and Human Transformation: Subtle Energies, Intentionality and Consciousness
