Dr. Motoyama wrote more than 100 books in Japanese.  Only 16 have been translated into English and most of them were published through Human Science Press in Tokyo. CIHS Press is a publishing department of CIHS established recently. We have published four books so far, i.e., "Toward a Superconsciousness" (republication), "Science and the Evolution of Religion", "Karma & Reincarnation" (republication) and "Motoyama Meridian Exercises for Ki Energy". Two new books are forthcoming from CIHS soon. One is THE BUDDHA'S SATORI and the other is TRUTH OF SPIRITUALITY.
 
THE BUDDHA'S SATORI was first published in Japanese in 1995. Based upon his own supreme religious experience, in this unique book Dr. Motoyama examines the nine stages of Buddha's "satori" or enlightenment as outlined in Pali texts. Dr. Shigenori Nagatomo, professor of Religion and Philosophy, Temple University, has given new life to this book for readers in the western world. Dr. Nagatomo not only translated the book but also provided detailed introductory comments and end notes from his professional and deep understanding of Buddhism, SamkhyaPhilosophy as well as modern Nishida Philosophy. This book is highly recommended for all meditation practitioners who wish to develop deeper understanding of their meditation experience.
 
TRUTH OF SPIRITUALITY was published in Japan in 2008. Blending his first hand knowledge of "spirit" and "soul" and the viewpoint of both science and spiritual practice of over 50 years, Dr. Motoyama answers life's critical questions in plain language clearly describing what human being truly is and what true spirituality is about.
 Readers will find themselves fortunate to learn from a world-renowned scholar and spiritual leader like Dr. Motoyama, who is not only well-versed with many wisdom traditions but truly knows through direct experience what man is and what lies beyond our physical existence.
