A two-day technical Seminar/Workshop titled "Bio-energy Devices & Research" will be held at CIHS on July 10 (Sat) and 11 (Sun), 2010. This event is jointly organized with Dr. Thornton Streeter, CEO & Director of the Center for Bio-field Sciences in India and the UK. Dr. Streeter is a key member of the "Energy Medicine Instrumentation Investigation Committee" (EMIIC) of the National Foundation for Alternative Medicine. He is also an active member of the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP) and Complementary Medicine Association (CMA). He is one of the few certified trainers of Polycontrast Interference Photography (PIP), a novel Bio-field detection device which is said to visualize the state of human subtle energy including chakra activities. A number of research projects have been conducted at his research institute using not only PIP but several other bio-energy devices including Gas Discharge Visualization (GDV), Electro-dermal interstitial Scanning (EIS) and Medical Thermal Imaging.
   Dr. Streeter has spent over 15 years specializing in the Human Bio-field Research with unswerving passion to integrate modern western medicine and traditional oriental medicine such as Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic Medicine.
   We, at Subtle Energy Laboratory of CIHS, share the same passion to perform bio-energetic studies of human body system and thereby contribute to the integration of western and oriental medical practices. This shared ideal led us to the joint sponsorship of the two-day seminar/workshop, which is designed to explain the principles of selected bio-energy devices with live demonstration and present frontline research results. Although it is intended for researchers and professionals in related areas of study, healing practitioners, students and general public interested in scientific studies of human subtle energy phenomenon are also welcome and encouraged to participate.
  Day 1 is dedicated to presentations of studies conducted by instruments other than the AMI followed by live demonstration of the instruments. Day 2 is for presentations of AMI-based research and demonstration of AMI experiment by both Snapshot and Continuous AMI devices. We'll have distinguished guest lecturers including Dr. Melinda Connor, Director of Optimal Healing Research, President of Earthsongs Holistic Health, President of Energy Healing Foundation, and Dr. Shin Lin, Professor of Cell Biology, Physiology & Biomedical Engineering, University of California, Irvine.
