December, 2009

Dear Newsletter Reader,

It is hard to believe this year is nearly over.  How time has flown! This issue is already the last for 2009. It features the article by Dr. Koji Tsuchiya and his students regarding the AMI courses.

The AMI Life Energy Analyzer, a unique subtle energy device, is now commercially available from CIHS. We posted detailed information on CIHS website including device overview, full Operating Manual (pdf), standard prices and online Quotation Request Form. We'd like to invite everyone to visit our AMI Commercial Page from
here.

Thank you for your continued interest in CIHS activities.  Your support has been the major driving force to all the staff working here.

We wish you all a great holiday season and a happy new year. ..!

Best regards,

Subtle Energy Research Laboratory

AMI study is one of CIHS fundamental programs based upon the CIHS principles, integrating of Mind, Body and Spirit.  The CIHS is now providing three AMI programs such as "AMI basic course," "AMI data interpretation and diagnosis" and "AMI applications."  The AMI basic for an introduction to the AMI study has been opened to all students and people who are interested in exploring the field of human subtle energy since the institute established.  Dr. Motoyama, a founder of the CIHS, has devoted his passion and spirit into instructing the AMI for the last few decades in Japan, the United States and other countries, including Europe and South America.
Now, we, CIHS, are stepping forward to a new stage of the AMI course with a new AMI model.  I have been teaching the AMI basic course to mainly students of Integral Health (IH) and Life Physics (LP) since 2008.  In the course, the new AMI device as well as a new measurement method built up this year has been utilized for students to enhance their understandings and improve the measurement skills.  Indeed, the basic course is offered not only to IH and LP students but all who are studying at CIHS as an elective course.
The following is a message from students recently taking the AMI basic class.   The information must be telling you "what is a real AMI class?"  I'll be glad if these comments can be of your helps to feel a new wave of the AMI study.

The AMI basic class is the fundamental course to take at CIHS in my opinion. This course, although an introduction to scientific research, to large extension explains the early works by Dr. Motoyama connecting mind and body. The science used in this course is mostly conceptual in nature and beneficial as a unique approach to integral studies. The focus of the class is on understanding the concepts behind measuring subtle energy, and on the practical application of using the machine to measure the subtle energy of a classmate.

It is an interesting class, as not only is there traditional lecture, but also the opportunity to use the AMI machine, and get real time biofeedback to further enhance learning. This emphasis on practice distinguishes this class as an essential course to take during study at CIHS.

When I first signed up for the AMI Basic Course, I didn't know what to expect. I knew very little about Dr. Motoyama's AMI (Apparatus for Meridian Identification) device. I am a psychology major, and was hesitant to take an elective course that was outside my field of study.

However, after attending the first class, I was pleasantly surprised.  It was an enjoyable and engaging course. Along with each lecture, the class was very experiential and hands-on. During each class meeting we were given time to practice hooking up and operating the AMI device. Dr. Tsuchiya is a very patient professor. Through his calm demeanor and thoughtful approach, Dr. Tsuchiya presented the basic concepts of the AMI in a way that was very easy to assimilate. I found it very intriguing to learn about my own chi energy and how it moved and flowed from day to day.  I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in learning more about the human subtle energy field, and how to assess and interpret its information as measured by the AMI device.
