Dear CIHS newsletter Readers,

Happy holiday!

This is our last issue(newsletter) for 2008. Our articles in this newsletter  cover a short report from CIHS Holiday Gathering Party held on December 13th at CIHS and from R.Christian Minson of Breathflow Wellness.

The Breathflow mission is to maintain the wellness of the multidimensional human being through conscious breathing techniques. This article from Christian follows-up on the research of the effects of a particular technique called Transformational Breathing, using the AMI as the primary instrument for acquiring scientific data.

Breathflow Wellness will be hosting workshops at CIHS in 2009. If you are interested in their workshops, please contact R. Christian Minson .

I wish you  happy new year

see you next year!

 Holiday Gathering Party at CIHS

Paella The CIHS 2008 end of the year seasonal holiday party was a very successful event this year; we had a record attendance of fifty people. The program included an address by our new Vice President Dr. Toshiaki Harada, followed by an icebreaker introduction of guests as we had several new recently enrolled students and other new guests from the building.  This was followed by a much enjoyed paella dinner and finally a raffle for prizes generally it was agreed that a good time was had by all.

Experiments with Breathing

Breathflow Wellness/LivingOne teams up with CIHS for Round Two!

After an initial round of preliminary experiments, we are at it again!
R. Christian Minson of
Breathflow Wellness and founder of LivingOne, Catherine Arena, have teamed up with researcher Koji Tsuchiya, Ph.D. from the California Institute for Human Sciences (CIHS) for a second series of experiments designed to quantitatively measure the effects of Transformational Breathing on the human body.

Results from the first set of experiments caught the attention of Dr. Toshiaki Harada, Vice President of CIHS, who met with the research team to discuss the findings and provide valuable direction to their efforts. A second series of tests are now in the process to solidify and confirm initial findings that Transformational Breathing appears to raise the energy flow through the meridian channels of the upper body.

More intensive testing is now in process which will hopefully lead to conclusions with enough supporting evidence to be published.
