Drama Therapy

All educators, counselors & education students are invited.

This training workshop will introduce you to the basic principles behind drama therapy.  Throughout the day you will explore ways in which theatre can be used to transform lives within an educational setting.  You will experience the CANY model of drama therapy through theory and group activities.

Participants will...
  • Gain practical tools & techniques that can be used when working with students struggling in the classroom & at-risk youth
  • Explore the drama therapy process in action & learn how it can be integrated into improving communication skills & peaceful conflict resolution  
  • Participate in drama therapy interventions aimed at improving students' self-esteem, emotional self-expression & self-regulation and personal growth
Morning refreshments will be served.  
There will be an afternoon break for lunch.
