Miracles Occur Because Of You
We have seen miracles occur with teens of every economic and social background. We will continue our work until all teens have the chance to experience the miracles that happen when we connect with each other, learn to appreciate and accept each other, when we allow ourselves to heal the hurts and move beyond our differences. Challenge Day transforms lives! Challenge Day's work would not be possible without YOU.
You provide the financial support, encouragement, and love that we need to accomplish our miracles.
To ensure that Challenge Day continues its vision to create a world where every child feels safe, loved and celebrated, we ask you to consider making a tax-deductible contribution to Challenge Day and be part of a vibrant, successful program that works to prevent issues of separation, loneliness, bullying and violence before they happen. Click here to make your donation. We appreciate your contribution, no matter how large or small, because it makes a profound difference in someone's life.
Our goal for 2010-2011 is to raise $400,000 to bring Challenge Day workshops to 40 more middle and high schools, to train 5 new Leaders, and to develop the Be The Change initiative to sustain Challenge Day programming in schools throughout the year.
- This year alone Challenge Day will be touching the lives of more than 85,000 teens and 20,000 adults in all 50 states, nearly quadrupling our outreach since 2000-2001.
- MTV aired 12 successful episodes of "If You Really Knew Me," chronicling the life-changing work of Challenge Day, in schools throughout the United States, averaging 1.3 million viewers per episode.
- We have trained five new Challenge Day Leaders for an overall staff of 27.
- We have reached operational and financial sustainability and have a budget of over $3 million.
We are proud of our achievements serving academic communities and other organizations throughout the United States, Canada and overseas. Now more than ever, with daily headline news about the teasing, suicides and cyber-bullying in the media, your contribution is vital to our success in reaching troubled teens.
Challenge Day is the program that powerfully addresses not only the symptoms of the problem...alcohol, drugs, violence, suicide, teen pregnancy... but actually deals with the causes... the root of the problems including isolation, separation and lonliness that often leads to these issues. Our goal is to allow teens the opportunity to create a new vision and life for themselves, with connection and love.
We welcome your contribution to make it possible for creating healthier communities for all of us, safer schools and a meaningful future for our children.
Kindest blessings for the holidays,
