Yellowstone Association will open our brand new field campus, the Yellowstone Overlook, on May 1, providing a new facility ideally suited to small groups that would like an educational experience in Yellowstone. The Overlook is perfect for student and alumni groups, family gatherings, birding clubs, and other small groups ranging from 5 to 29 people. With its comfortable cabins and close proximity to the park and the gateway community of Gardiner, the Yellowstone Overlook Field Campus offers guests a private Yellowstone sanctuary and educational experience near modern conveniences.

The campus is located 1.5 miles above Gardiner, Montana, on the Jardine Road. Situated on the border of Yellowstone National Park, this 80-acre campus features outstanding views of the Mammoth Hot Springs terraces and surrounding mountains. Bison, deer, elk, and wolves are sometimes seen from the cabins.

Groups can choose among three cabins to fit their needs. Two large cabins have three bedrooms and can accommodate up to 12 people each. The small cabin has two bedrooms and can accommodate up to 5 people. Cabins have fully equipped kitchens, educational libraries, and linens.

The Overlook is available year-round but is only available to people attending our educational programs. Groups can choose from daily Private Tours led by Institute naturalist guides and are welcome to stay at the campus the nights before and after their tours.
