Ask Dr Callahan

Homeschooling just seems like real work. Most parents say it is highly rewarding work - but work just the same. Meeting the demands of teaching along with all the other demands in life can be tough. The one demand we hear parents pulling their hair out over is helping their kids with tough subjects. Now we are offering a support package for any math, science, English, or literature curriculum. We have on staff certified tutors in college calculus, English, literature, and a variety of college science classes. So we are ready to help!

Thank you to Our Facebook Fans!
Recently AskDrCallahan turned to our online members and asked them to help us get enough fans so that we could get our username on Facebook, and everyone turned out in force!! Thank you so much!

We are now going to start to use Facebook as one of our primary tools to interact with the homeschool community---something we had not focused on in the past. We recognize that not everyone is on Facebook, however, so we will continue to use other tools such as newsletters and the Homework Help email to stay in touch with everyone this coming year.

Happy New Year!

As of January 1, 2010, AskDrCallahan now has a Facebook Page. Facebook's capabilities are updated now from what they were when AskDrCallahan started. Originally, we had a Group on Facebook but that is now closed and we are moving over to the newly added Facebook Page. A Group and a Page are different on Facebook and since the Page has more features that we want to use (like a username), we are switching over to that, and we would like our Group members to switch too!

If you are already on Facebook, and a member of our group we would like for you to becom
e a Fan so that we can keep in touch with you.

These instructions on how to become a fan of ours on Facebook will also work for anyone who has yet to connect with us online. We would love to have you be our friend :)

Please follow this link:

                www.facebook.com/AskDrCallahan

You will then be directed to our Facebook Page.
Up at the top of the page, next to our name there will be a box that says "Become a Fan".

Click this box and Presto! You are now our fan, which means you can dialogue with us, other parents, and other students on everything math--and everything home school! :) We post daily to our Facebook page about updates, errors, new  blog entries, and of course--great random facts, resources, and other fun stuff!

We expect a great New Year here at AskDrCallahan, and we would love to spend it with new friends! So come join us today!

We just want to take a second and thank everyone who helped us out in December with getting enough fans for our username. When we let our friends know about the goal they came out in force to help us! The link to our page was a REALLY long url, and now it is

www.facebook.com/AskDrCallahan

Yay!! We are SO excited to finally have this username, and it is all because of our friends online!

Thank you for posting, for participating, and for letting us know how we can serve you better. We love the online conversation with everyone, and we really look forward to being able to serve you this coming year.

Keep asking questions, leaving comments, and talking with us! We love all of you. Thank you!
