October 2012 E-Newsletter

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
(Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV)

Greetings!

Although we have some special news to share with you in this October Newsletter, you must not miss our November Newsletter, where we'll have lots of pictures, information, and testimonials about last week's New Mexico Conference with students from China, France, South Africa, and the USA. Pastor/Dr. Nolan and his godly team made sure that every detail was fabulous, using the conference theme of our LPCCI's "Your Life on the Movie Screen" coaching template. For example, a long, red carpet with red velvet ropes awaited us upon our arrival at the Founder's Welcome Address and Dessert Party at Grace Community Church Coaching Center. Then each one of us was escorted by a tuxedo-clad gentleman, who announced our name, as faux-paparazzi snapped our photo. What a fun, amazing, and Spirit-led week! You must stay tuned for more, especially to see the simulated movie theatre with three, IMax-type screens.

During the conference, we got word from The Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE) that we are now a Board Certified Coach (BCC) Training Provider. See more below. Thank you - thank you - thank you to Diane O'Connor, one of our Wisconsin Coaches and Instructors, for suggesting that we pursue the accreditation--and also to the incredibly talented and faithful Dr. Cheri Maben-Crouch, also a Life Purpose Coach®-Facilitator, who spent months of her life creating and filing the CCE paperwork to guide us through the process that commenced in November 2011.

And although I have no pictures to share with you of my speech at the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) in late-September, it was received so well by a packed room of counselors and coaches.

And my first meeting at AACC as a Board Member for the International Christian Coaching Association (ICCA) was an honor! ICCA now has 7,000 members and so much to offer coaches in the form of Webinars, a quarterly magazine, etc. Check it out and join today!

Now for our October News!

 CONGRATULATIONS, LPCCI.

After closely examining your 2012 coaching curriculum, you are now a Board Certified Coach Training Provider through The Center for Credentialing & Education!

The Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE) created the Board Certified Coach (BCC) credential as a means to independently verify that applicants have met professional coaching competency standards established by CCE and subject matter experts. These standards reflect the common knowledge, skills and abilities of a professional coach.

The BCC is a mark of quality. It demonstrates to the public that a professional coach has:

    *    Met educational and training requirements

    *    Passed a psychometrically sound coach specific exam

    *    Obtained experience in the field of coaching

    *    Professional peer references

    *    Accountability of an enforceable ethics code

    *    Commitment to continuing education

The achievement of the Board Certified Coach credential solidifies the professional identity of the coach. The BCC credential is attractive to professionals who would like to provide independent third party verification that they have achieved certain coaching competency standards.
