enote1Call for Participation: Help Us Document a Measurement Team
Ever wanted to share best practices in documenting the process and team members involved in the performance measurement, or measurement and analysis process? Well, we could use your help.

We at Distributive Management think there are probably a lot of organizations who could use a good document as a starting point for their own use. So we're soliciting input for a generic set of position descriptions to staff a performance measurement team. Each position description will contain tasks and responsibilities, required skills, desirable training and knowledge.

Here's where we are so far...

We have identified four performance measurement roles that make up the team. The roles could all be assigned to one person or assigned to multiple people, depending on the size of your team and measurement program:
  1. manager
  2. process engineer
  3. analyst
  4. technician
We've extracted tasks information from measurement standards and guidance by SEI, ISO and PSM. And for each of the four roles, we are beginning to flesh out a general position description that organizations can use as a starting point for their organizational performance measurement process.

We'd love to hear from you! Please contribute by sharing your experiences and input. Everyone who contributes will receive draft/review copies as well as the finished product.
