We had a great showing at the Dallas Pride Parade. Let's have as good a showing at the Fort Worth Pride Parade! The parade kicks off at 2pm at W. Broadway and S. Jennings. Parking will be available at Broadway Baptist Church at 305 W. Broadway. This parade is not as long as the Dallas one so even with the drive, it will not be as long as last week! There is a Gay Fest at the end of the parade and we will have our WJD T-Shirts available for sale. We will have our same float for those who need to ride. October 6th is the 40th Anniversary of MCC. Let's celebrate at the Fort Worth Pride Parade!

"Would Jesus Discriminate?" Campaign -STATE FAIR of TEXAS - Sat. Sept. 27th
Enjoy the State Fair and be a witness as you wear your WJD T-Shirt. Enjoy the State Fair as you usually would yet people will notice your shirt and ask themselves the question "Would Jesus Discriminate?" We will meet at Big Tex at 10am and again at 1pm for prayer and a picture! This is a great opportunity to get the word out across much of North Texas!
SHAWN THOMAS - Worship Concert
On Saturday, September 27th at 6:20pm at Touchstone, Christian recording artist Shawn Thomas will present a worship concert. Shawn is an "out and affirming" contemporary Christian artist whose musical background is as varied as his spiritual journey. He grew up in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and now incorporates traditional with non-traditional spiritual experiences believing that practices of faith and grace are never in conflict. He uses music as an expression of his faith including styles of music ranging from praise/worship, to pop/dance, to country/folk to rock/soul.
For those who work on Sundays consider worshipping on select Saturday nights with Touchstone at MCCGD! TOUCHSTONE is a spiritual community offering a worship alternative - alternative time and alternative style! |

Celebrate the Feast of St. Francis in this worship alternative time as we thank God for the gift of animals in our lives. Email pictures of your pets to office@mccgd.org for use in a PowerPoint presentation. Pictures should be received by Wed. Oct. 1st. Small pets that can be brought in crates/cages may be brought to the service. Certified service pets are welcome as always. Bless your pets whether in person or by asking God's blessing on their image. Rev. Dr. Mona West will also be with us. Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of MCC internationally and the 5th anniversary of MCC of Greater Dallas on Sunday, October 5th with guest preacher Rev. Dr. Mona West. We are "Committed to Shine"!
Rev. Dr. Mona West is an MCC Clergyperson who began her journey in the Baptist church. She has a B.A. in Religion, a Masters of Divinity, a Ph.D. in Old Testament Studies from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY. and a Certificate in Spiritual Formation from Columbia Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Decatur, GA.; a five year program with practicum which included study at the International Center of Teresa and John of the Cross, Avila, Spain. Rev. West has been on the staff of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Austin College, Anderson College, Samaritan Institute for Religious Studies, Cathedral of Hope, Midway Hills Christian Church, and most recently as Senior Pastor, Church of the Trinity MCC, Sarasota, Florida. She is a gifted preacher and teacher whose mission is to facilitate the spiritual growth of others so that the realm of God might be manifest in our world. |

If you are registered with our database ACCESS you use your user name and password. If you do not have a user name and password, the system will walk you through setup. After that you can schedule your giving, make a one-time donation and/or track your giving!
