TOUCHSTONE is a spiritual community offering a worship alternative - alternative time and alternative style! On Saturday, September 27th at 6:20pm, Christian recording artist Shawn Thomas will present a worship concert.
On Saturday, October 18th, The Anointing, a praise band from Houston, will offer a worship and praise concert. Mark these dates. For those who work on Sundays consider worshipping on these Saturday nights with Touchstone at MCCGD!

9/11 - We Remember
We remember and honor those who died and all who were directly impacted by the terrorism of 9/11. On this anniversary, we remember the past and pray for our future.
God, whose nature and name is love, help us to be a people of love and not fear today. Jesus, Prince of Peace, help us to see beyond our own suffering and loss, to be in solidarity today with those who live in 9/11 conditions on a daily basis. God, bless the United States of America today. As we face the serious choice of new national leadership, may we be thoughtful, attentive and engaged. In this increasingly complex world, may we lift up leadership that will make a difference for people everywhere, not only in our own nation. God, comfort all who mourn today. Help us to create a world where terror and fear, violence and war are weapons of the past, and where respect, justice and peace reign.

Hurricane Prayers
Please pray for all of the people in the path of Hurricane Ike. Remember our MCC's in Galveston, Corpus Christi and Houston. Continue in your prayers for our MCC in Baton Rouge and New Orleans as they recover from Gustav. Reports earlier this week indicated that Baton Rouge is still without power and our MCC there plans to hold Sunday worship outside! |

New Choir Practices this Sunday!
All singers, experienced or inexperienced with choral singing, are invited to join us this Sunday for our first rehearsal. We will have lunch together and then rehearse from 12:30-2:30pm. We will also rehearse Saturday, September 20th from 3:oo-5:30pm. Let's "make a joyful noise to our God" as we sing God's praises! |

PRIDE PARADES - September 21st and October 5th MCC turns 40 this fall. What a great time to celebrate with a strong presence in the Pride Parades in Dallas and Fort Worth! Plan on joining with all 5 MCC's in our Dallas Pride Parade on Sunday afternoon September 21st. Wear a WJD T-Shirt and join our float and march as a visible presence of good news.
