This Fall
This fall holds a lot of excitement with all the events of the "Would Jesus Discriminate?" Campaign, Pride Parades in Dallas and Fort Worth, the 40th Anniversary of MCC in the world, Anniversary Sunday with guest preacher Rev. Dr. Mona West, a new choir, spiritual development events, a partnership revival, and so much more. Plan to be present and active this fall at MCC of Greater Dallas! |

WEDNESDAYS: Reflection and Prayer Call - 7:15pm - 8:00pm
This conference call includes a brief bible study presented by the facilitator with an opportunity to comment on the presentation. It is followed with the sharing of prayer needs and a time of prayer. Call in for a positive word of encouragement and community connection whether you are in town or out of state. THIS SUNDAY, August 31st -12 noon - 6pm - GLBT Wedding and Anniversary Expo - Grapevine Convention Center
Are you planning to get married in California or Canada and celebrate in Texas? Know someone who is? Are you planning a recommitment ceremony or an anniversary celebration? This is another fabulous fun fundraiser for the WJD Campaign that will introduce you to vendors who serve our community! You will get great ideas and resources, have a lot of fun and support the Campaign. Everybody benefits! Connect with legal services, caterers, photographers, and formal wear providers. Sponsors include Pride Radio, The Dallas Voice, Al's Formal Wear, Kind Companions, The Edge Dallas, and Active Advertising and Promotional Sales. Advance tickets to the EXPO are available at the church for a low price of $8. Tickets at the door will be $10. There will also be a drawing for awesome door prizes. Plan to attend the GLBT Wedding and Anniversary Expo this Sunday afternoon!

Visit the bookstore at MCCGD for your black with hot pink "Would Jesus Discriminate?" T-Shirt just $8 if purchased at the church. For $10 we will mail you a shirt. Simply mail us a check and your size or call the office at 972-243-0761 to have someone contact you to run a credit card order. Wear your T-Shirt and be a walking billboard inviting others to consider the question "Would Jesus Discriminate?"
Likewise the Bumper Stickers are now in available for a donation (recommended $1). Put one on your car today and get out the message everywhere you drive!

SCHOOL SUPPLIES COLLECTION - Last Week
Consider helping children and families less fortunate than you. In a time of increased economic stress, school supplies can be a hardship for large families or families in shelters. We are collecting pens, pencils, notebooks, scissors, glue sticks and all the other back-to-school goodies. Please bring them to the church on Sunday or you can drop them at the office on Tuesday (11am - 8pm). We will distribute them to children in need that we know or in local shelters. |

CHOIR IS FORMING
We have 17 signed up for our new choir! There is still time for you to sign up! All singers, experienced or inexperienced with choral singing, are invited. We will rehearse one Sunday afternoon after worship and one Saturday afternoon a month plus early the Sunday morning that we sing in Worship. We will send out a list of rehearsal dates to all those who sign up. Sign up at the welcome desk at the church or via email to office@mccgd.org. If you know what voice part you sing, please let us know that as well.

Plan to participate in as many as possible! Let this fall be a time of outreach and community building as we go together to ask "Would Jesus Discriminate?"
Saturday, September 6th - 2-5pm Fort Worth/Arlington "mall outreach" Hulen Mall at 2 pm and Parks Mall at 3:30pm. Just come, browse or shop. Be a visible walking billboard as you wear your WJD T-Shirt.
Friday, September 19th - 7pm Grapevine Mills "mall outreach"
Sunday, September 21st - Dallas Pride Parade - march together with WJD
Saturday, September 27th - State Fair Day - gather for prayer at Big Tex at 10am and/or 1pm
Friday, October 3rd - evening - Oak Cliff "outreach"
Sunday, October 5th - Tarrant County Pride Parade (Fort Worth)
Monday, October 6th - MCC's 40th Anniversary!
Saturday, October 11th - Tarrant County Pride Picnic (Fort Worth)/ National Coming Out Day
Sunday, October 12th -5:45pm - Joel Osteen at the American Airlines Center - wear your T-shirt, order your tickets online.
