Calling All Singers

All singers, experienced or inexperienced with choral singing, are invited to form a CHOIR at MCCGD!

We will rehearse one Sunday afternoon after worship and one Saturday afternoon a month plus early the Sunday morning that we sing in Worship. Sign-up today to indicate your interest. We will send out a list of rehearsal dates to all those who are interested. Sign up at the reception desk at the church or via email to office@mccgd.org.  If you know what voice part you sing, please let us know that as well.

Let's "make a joyful noise to our God" as we sing God's praises!
MINISTRY NEEDS:
  1. CD Player - We are in need of a CD player for one of our senior members who receives the service CD's yet can't listen to them since their CD player is broken. Perhaps you can help.
  2. Panera Bread Ministry - We are in need of a volunteer to pick up bread from Panera's in Oak Cliff once or twice a week and deliver to AIDS Interfaith Ministry. The bread needs to be picked up at the close of business (@ 9:30pm). Let us know if you can help with this valuable ministry to the Daire Center food program of AIN.

CAMPAIGN EVENTS

Sharing and Responding Training - Sunday, August 17th 12:30-4pm
What do you say or do when someone makes a prejudicial remark to you? How can you be an ally to someone else? How can you sow seeds that will make someone think when you only have a few minutes together? Come learn techniques and strategies for living and sharing your faith in real life situations. This training will also prepare you to respond to questions or any negative responses about the Would Jesus Discriminate? Campaign. This is a hands-on practical, biblically based training. If you have taken it before, you are welcome to repeat the class for more practice. Please register with Reception or the Church Office so we can prepare sufficient materials.

DON'T MISS THIS EVENT!!!!
Saturday, August 23rd - Suzanne Westenhoffer Performance  - Lakewood Theatre
  1. You and your friends will have a fabulous evening! (Please invite your friends!)
  2. You will help raise funds to finance the "Would Jesus Discriminate?" Campaign outreach into DFW! The campaign budget stands separately from the budgets of the 5 MCC congregations although each church is giving 1% of income to the Campaign. We need our fundraisers to raise funds! DUH! This is how we will be able to put up billboards.
  3. Have a laugh and put up a billboard. Such a deal!
TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE at our church and online!  Reserved seats are sold out! Main floor and balcony tickets are still available. Tell your friends about this event. Why not arrange for a group of your friends to attend together? Don't forget to tell them about the limited ticket "schmooze" event after the performance at Nabu (at the Crescent Hotel). "Schmooze" tickets are only available online at Open Door Productions. www.opendoorproductionstx.com   A limited number of balcony and main floor tickets are available at MCCGD. Get them early! Invite your friends!
