Greetings!
What a great way to start the day, seeing our mayor of San Antonio, Mayor Julian Castro this morning at a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony sponsored by the Asian, Greater, North, & Hispanic Chambers of Commerce in support of Access Quality Therapy Services. They are a home health agency specializing in the therapeutic management of people with Parkinson's disease. It is so very rewarding when we get involved with our local community. If you haven't gotten involved lately try it. It is a great way to help build a better place for all of us to work, live, worship, and give.
For instance, as you know, many of us have family and friends affected by heart disease and stroke. To help reduce the numbers, we at Confidential Search Solutions have decided to walk on November 6th, at Brackenridge Park, in the 2010 "Start! Heart Walk," which directly supports the American Heart Association. We would like for you to join us.
We have set a personal goal to raise $1000.00, that is needed for critical heart disease and stroke research and education. You can help us reach our goal and protect those you love by making a $25, $50, $100, $200, $300, or $500 donation online. Click on this link to visit my personal donation page where you can make a secure online credit card donation. The American Heart Association's online fundraising website has a minimum donation amount of $25.00. If you prefer a smaller amount, you can do so by dropping off a check to our office, made out to the American Heart Association before November 1st.
Your donation will make a difference in the fight against our nation's No. 1 and No. 3 killers-heart disease and stroke. Stop! Take a moment now, make a donation to this worthy cause. Thank you in advance for your support.
Respectfully,
TJ Haygood, CPC
Founder & CEO

Weekend Reflections
How Can You Expand Your Company's Services?
"Why did I not think of that?" Those words are often spoken when simple ideas are put into action and become reality with great success. "I wonder who came up with that idea?" This is another common question that occurs when we are amazed at a concept that we did not consider. Those were my thoughts this week as I waited to get my deposit slip from the ATM terminal at my bank's main office. You see, while I waited, there was this huge sign out front on their building, informing all members/customers that the bank had expanded their deposit locations to 15 additional sites around town.
That was great news for all members. However, what was even more impressive was that they increased their locations and potential revenue streams without adding any additional buildings or ATM terminals. How did they do that? They did that by leveraging their existing business relationships, built on trust and proven performance.
One bank along with a non-related delivery service company figured out a way to work together and generate additional revenue opportunities for both parties. This now leads to even stronger mutually beneficial working relationship, providing both parties with continuous opportunities to perform.
How can we benefit from this as professionals? How can we leverage already existing relationships to better perform our jobs? How can we improve or increase our companies' services or revenue opportunities? The answers are all around us. We just have to think about things differently. There is an old adage that says, "if you continue to do what you have already done, you will continue to get what you have already gotten."
Today is the beginning of a new quarter, the last quarter in 2010. Make the decision to make the most of it. Be a contributor to the success of your company. Make a difference in the lives that you see and touch each day. Think differently, read different books, connect with different people. Be all that you can be as a professional, manager, co-worker, and friend. Today is your day to make a difference! You can do it!

Are Training Opportunities for You?
At Confidential Search Solutions, we train all the time, every week. We have training seminars, training tapes, and training books. In fact, Mark Douglas, one of our Sr. Business Partners, is in St. Louis this week attending an annual training conference sponsored by the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS). Learning from each other, our peers, our clients and candidates, in addition to our non-related business partners is a way of life for us. You see, in order to be the best, one has to have a mind set to train and learn at all times from the best resources available.
Ask a member of the Spurs basketball team or an Olympian. Ask your local high school swim team or drill team captain how often they train. You will quickly learn or be reminded that it is either a daily or weekly requirement depending on what level you are. Even young super stars with natural talent like George Hill and DeJuan Blair, or season veterans like Tim Duncan & Tony Parker, understand the importance of regular and routine practice in order to maintain and/or improve their performance levels.
Learn from our sports' heroes, continue to learn, and train yourself to be proactive vs. reactive. Read a good book, attend one of our weekly Webinars, sign up for an upcoming training class, take a vocational online course or go back to college. Think like a winner and you will become one if you are not already. Just one little class or training program could make a difference in a pay increase and/or a promotional opportunity. Never underestimate the power of your mind, it is the CPU of your body, recharge it and expand your personal performance levels now!If you have any doubts, remove it! The answer is YES! Training opportunities are for you!
