Arbitration Update #3
It has been some time now since I have sent out an update on our Arbitration. We have not received any information or news as to when we can expect a final decision but I can give you an update on what you can expect once we do receive the information.
Once the decision has been finalized the Arbitration Board will send the information to our AUPE Bargaining Team and to the SAIT Executive. We will call a meeting as quickly as possible for the Bargaining Team to meet with the Local 039 Council members to review the decision and to answer as many of our questions as possible at that time. Once the Council has been briefed by the Bargaining Team we will be better prepared to answer questions and concerns from the membership.
Within a few days, we will call a General Meeting for all members.The meeting will be held at SAIT and will commence at 5:00 PM. We will review as much of the information with you at that time and answer as many questions as possible.
