Good Things ARE Happening!
- Congratulations to the Conner High School Cheerleading Competition team! They placed 4th out of 14 squads at Kentucky Association of Pep Organization Sponsors (KAPOS) State this past weekend! First time since 1999 that an all girl squad has placed at State!!! Very proud of them!!!
- Erpenbeck Elementary is proud to present 1st place winner ( Reagan Rich in Mrs. Honour's 5th grade class) and 2nd place winner (Julian Earls in Mrs. Shehan's class) of the science fair, pictured with the principal, Mrs. Becky Brown. Both Julian and Reagan won last year while in fourth grade but in reverse places. They will move on to the regional science fair.

WCPO-TV Spelling Bee Winner
Congratulations to Manu Nair from Mann Elementary! The 5th-grader beat out 65 children from Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana as the Region I winner of the 2012 WCPO-TV spelling bee.Nair won when he spelled "toastmaster" correctly during the afternoon competition which was held at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
"I stayed up late studying, we went to Merriam Webster speller and we'd study all the words." Manu will head to Washington, D.C., with one of his parents for the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May.

Ryle High School takes awards
Ryle High School Future Farmers of America members won the "Best of Boone" speaking contest in its first year. Ryle High School took 10 members competing in 5 different categories to the Spencer County Invitational. This is a state-wide contest with over 600 FFA members from across the state. Our students performed admirably as we had 2 teams place. The Record Keeping team of Emily Dever, Micky King and Ben Benton placed 2nd in their contest. The Junior Parliamentary Procedures team placed 3rd in their bracket. The Jr. Parly team is; Allie Jones,Chris Bright, Abby Trapp, Ben Benton, Dylan Fields, Cammi Arlinghaus, Emily Dever, and Micky King |
