Tax Free Retirement...Really?The Rising Popularity of Tax Free Living
Avoiding taxes and holding on to the most money possible is something we're all interested in doing. Right?
Fixed Indexed Universal Life (IUL) is one of the hottest life products in the marketplace today, as it will help reshape how people will buy life insurance for retirement-planning purposes. This is why CBU is devoting time and energy to educate our agents on the ins and outs of the IUL selling process.

Contact us for information on upcoming webinars, trainings, and workshops. In the meantime, we highly recommend reading the book "Tax-Free Retirement" by Patrick Kelly. It'll open your eyes to a different investment concept and introduce your clients to a new way of saving for their future. Maybe for you, too.

3 Tips for Building Trust with Your ClientsA Sales Idea for Life Insurance Agents
Building trust is the foundation of any successful relationship. Without it, whatever we build will have integrity problems that will fail to stand the test of time (or the sale).
Here are three time-tested tips for building trust with your Life Insurance prospects and clients:
1. Understand the Needs of Your Client. Ask questions. Nobody knows your client's needs or financial situation better than your client. Rather than telling your client how much life insurance they need, try asking them. For starters, try a few of these questions:
- How much life insurance do you want? How did you come up with that amount?
- If you purchase term insurance now, how old will you be when it ends?
- How long do you want to have life insurance?
- How much will you have spent for life insurance during those years?
Remember, telling is not selling. Try to focus on nurturing your relationships by asking questions.
2. Take Time to Educate Your Client. Help your client understand the concept of life insurance so they can have complete peace of mind when it comes to buying the right product. Explain to them the idea of term insurance versus permanent insurance. Define words, such as: renewable, convertibility, whole life, and riders. Help them make the most sense of all their insurance options.
3. Emphasize that You Are an Independent Agent. You have access to many more products than just one firm can provide. This is important. Seventy percent of consumers conduct online research before they buy, so chances are that a well-informed client will be looking for someone like you, a broker. A lot of websites and blogs recommend buying life insurance from a broker. Use this to your advantage.
I hope you find these tips useful. The bottom line in building trust is to be well-informed and to listen, and as your conversations unfold, your clients will feel confident in choosing you as their life insurance agent.
