The Difference Between Computer Forensics, E-discovery, and Data Recovery
If your client has a computer, they need computer forensics. They may not know it; they may dismiss the logic; they may decline the service; but they still need it-every examination that we do reinforces this truth. The computer has invaded our very existence and is an integral part of almost every case.

Nearly all of our clients are attorneys, practicing in all areas of law. Nearly all of our cases are, or soon will be, in litigation. If your client has a computer, it probably plays a role in the case.

COMPUTER FORENSICS...

The term Computer Forensics first appeared in 1991 at the renowned IACIS (International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists) training session. When EnCase™, the premier computer forensic software, was first introduced at the 1999 IACIS forensic computer conference, DataChasers was there!

Here's how:
  • If the computer is ON, leave it on; if it is OFF, leave it off. Each time an operating system boots up it writes to several hundred, possibly thousands of files, and overwrites data crucial to the investigation. DataChasers uses tools specifically designed to acquire the data without booting into Windows. This data is retrievable if it is not over-written by the boot process.
  • Never allow company personnel to access the computer. This changes ...Read More
