Gustavus logo
The National Individual Events Tournament of Champions Executive Board is proud to announce a new and valuable partnership with Gustavus Adolphus College! Gustavus Adolphus College Forensics is a comprehensive, co-curricular program that competes in eleven American Forensics Association individual events and is located in Saint Peter, Minnesota. Beginning with the 2012 championship tournament, each Main and Supplemental Event Champion will receive a $16,000 scholarship award to attend Gustavus Adolphus College!

This partnership does much to further the mission and goals of the NIETOC. Scholarship offerings currently also include $500 for each Main Event Champion and $250 for each Supplemental Event Champion to attend the college of choice. Adding such a generous scholarship from Gustavus Adolphus with its prestigious history and commitment to individual forensic events is an exciting step forward as we strive to live up to our vision.

Josephine Dukes Teacher of the Year Award

Josephine Dukes
We are continuing to accept nominations for the 2012 Josephine Dukes Teacher of the Year Award, sponsored by Western Kentucky University Forensics. The recipient must be nominated by a student. Details can be found on the front page
of the NIETOC website. Josephine Dukes spent a majority of her life giving, loving and serving her community. She believed "first you have to love the student, then and only then, can you teach them." We are seeking teachers who exemplify learning, love, community, optimism, generosity and respect for all. As a student, if you feel your teacher is deserving of this honor, please fill out and submit the forms on our website. The deadline is February 15.
