Enterprise V4.4 enhances the user experience by delivering full unified communications and telephony support for email messaging platforms including Microsoft Outlook 2010.
eZuce introduced openUC enterprise in 2010 as the commercial version and entity supporting the sipXecs open source project which initiated with the founding of SIPfoundry in 2004 by eZuce co-founders Martin Steinmann and Jerry Stabile. eZuce openUC is designed for mid to large enterprises with existing IP PBX systems looking to cost-effectively upgrade to next generation unified communications technology, have growing mobility needs, and demanding IT environments requiring high system availability and reliable disaster recovery capabilities.

 | eZuce Customer Spotlight: Brazos County, Texas
| This month our spotlight is on Brazos County in Texas a long-time user of sipXecs 'open source product' also referred to as the sipXecs community edition. We recently interviewed Josh Patten, Network Engineer, of Brazos County to highlight their experiences working with our open source platform.
Brazos County selected sipXecs as it was the only open source solution that could scale to the needs of their organization out of the box. Other open source solutions required extensive customizations to be able to scale to their size. The management interface of sipXecs was also far better than any other open source solution they tested. Josh has been involved with the project since just after Version 3.10 was released. Their deployment has been extremely successful and included approximately 375 total handsets with another 450 or so to be rolled out in the next 6-10 months. Once the core sipXecs system was set up properly new deployments were extremely quick. As an example their adult probation department which has approximately 70 handsets was fully converted over from their legacy Nortel handsets to sipXecs community edition in about a week with only 2 employees dedicated to installing phones. In terms of the benefits Brazos County has experienced Josh Patten responded "Open source makes it incredibly easy to write in whatever functionality you need to do whatever you need, whenever and wherever you require it without having to pay top dollar to a proprietary software vendor. It also makes troubleshooting a system a lot easier as you can peek at the code to see why the code might be having a problem. The sky is the limit with open source."
