May

Dear Greetings!

When I took a look at the date of the last e-mail I sent you and the Ambrosia Lifestyle community I was shocked! I could hardly believe it. But then I realized how much "living" and self care I've been doing these past few months and when deep self development takes place, there is no timeline!

Here is one of the very valuable lessons I have taken away during this time period:

One day I tried to water a flower pot that I had let dry out to the point of where the dirt was rock hard - the water pretty much spilled out over the top because the dirt was too hard and dry to absorb the water - I had to let it soften up and then water it a bit at a time - the rate where it could absorb - of course I realized a great life lesson from that - too much water and it runs right through the bottom of the pot because the pot can't hold it - too little - and the dirt gets too hard to absorb - you have to find the right consistency and right amount of input  for the substance to absorb.

Sometimes in life there is so much information pouring your way that your little pot of dirt can't contain it all - but what I've found is that if you keep coming back and continue to gently pour it on, it will abosorb. In ancient Japan this is called the Kai Zen Approach; small consistent steps leading to big actions for changes.

I've applied the Kai Zen Approach to Ambrosia Lifestyle as well. Take a look at the site as it undergoes it's renovations.

Here are a few things you'll see featured on it:

A Winter of Tranquility & Refuge- Meet Ambrosia Lifestyle Community Member Marcia:

"As my winter in Miami ends again I am looking forward to going 'home'. One of the things I will truely miss are my private yoga sessions with Liza. I walk in there going a mile a minute and walk out relaxed and at ease.

I feel like I have had yoga, physical therapy, a personal training session and healing, inside and out. If I could put Liza in my suitcase and take her back to Vermont with me I surely would. I have been doing yoga for over 25 years and I have to say Liza is in the small handfull of the best teachers I have ever had!... READ MORE

7 Reasons Kale is the New Beef
By: Jill Ettinger

"Like the saying goes, the only constant is change. We may resist it all we want, but Time and its inevitable evolution of everything in its path is unaffected by our attempts to stop it. The resulting trajectory of humanity's nascent ascent appears to be positioning itself to sweep us into progressive new times, especially where our food choices are concerned, as nearly 7 billion people are now standing on the little scraps of land that we share with some 55 billion rather large animals raised for food each year.

(As another famous saying goes: This town ain't big enough for the both of us.) So, beef (and all factory-farmed meat) may be going from rib-eye to relic as we transition to a greener world... literally-as in leafy, green vegetables.

We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift."
