BREATH WORK MEDITATION FOR DUMMIES...

Trying to meditate for the first time can be one of the most stressful experiences as your mind loops from though to thought like a broken record.

Try these simple breathing exercise to calm you down the next time you feel stressed:

BREATHWORK MEDITATION:
Sit in a comfortable place with the eyes closed.

Inhale for 3 seconds then pause or hold for 3 seconds.

If your mind wanders focus on the rhythm of the breath.

AT WORK:
Watch yourself  as you complete a solo task. Notice your posture, listen to your thoughts and how you speak to yourself. Observe how your body moves. Do it frequently and you will start to notice your habits. Which ones are nourishing and which are self defeating habits? Work towards feeling without judging. AND REMEBER TO BREATHE!

Greetings!

It has been an amazing week that started with plenty of new faces in class and finished with an amazing Forrest Yoga workshop at Dharma Studio. A huge thank you to Dharma Studio and all of the participants at the "GET OFF YOUR ASANA-FORREST YOGA 101 WORKSHOP" . The turn out was fantastic and the energy was ripe! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share  why I love Forrest Yoga and for helping you to sweat out those toxins and breathe into new parts of your body.

The final workshop for 2010 will be held in Chicago at Keller's Martial Arts on October 16th & 17th. This is a two day workshop filled with plenty of backbends and inversions! If you or anyone you know will be in the Chicago area then, pay it forward and send them this invite!
