Feng Shui
TIPS FOR APRIL
The weather is starting to warm and we are looking at our homes with new eyes as plants and flowers come to life in our yards and the winter rains and snows subside.
Take a good look at the sidewalk or drive leading to your front door. Is there debris and things sitting around that got left there for the winter for some reason? Is the siding dirty? Are your windows dirty? How about your front door? The first entry of "Chi" is through your front door, so make it pleasing and something people want to "walk into". Clean dirty surfaces, fix any cracks or areas that might have weakened with the winter snow and rain.
Put something beautiful on the front door, plants on either side, a welcome mat on the stoop.
As you do this, have an intention for your home and all who enter through its' doors!

ASTROGRAM for April ~ May 2011
by Barbara Ybarra
Hello readers, and blessings:
I would like to speak directly to the Taurus Sun people first, the birthday crowd, those born between April 21 and May 21.
This year, between June of 2011 and June of 2012, the planet Jupiter will journey through the constellation Taurus. He (or it) will conjunct the exact degree that your Sun sign is in within this year, depending on your exact birthdate. This is something that happens every 12 years to everyone, and it is always an opportunity to "come of age" somehow. It is a hallmark of wisdom and understanding. Sometimes it is a time of great achievements, but more often it is when the seeds for great achievements are planted which will produce rewards in about 6 years. I am talking BIG plans, not tiny ones.
A Taurus is usually not a person interested in radical change, but a person who admires conservation of natural resources and who appreciates good use of what our Earth has provided for us. A Taurus Sun person's Moon sign might somewhat tip this approach, but never topple it (have you ever heard of bull-tipping?). In May, before Jupiter moves into Taurus, Mars makes its quick run-through Taurus going just ahead of Jupiter. He is sort of like the torch runner before the Olympic games open. This, Taureans, is your boost into planting or planning mode. By June, you should be able to articulate to yourself what sort of seeds you are looking at. What are your seeds? As for the rest of us....if you don't already have a Taurus friend, you had better get one. They are extremely loyal, and like Capricorns, when the rest of us are walking around with our nervous systems shot to pieces, Taureans are a rock of common sense.
All you middle degree Libras, you've heard of Middle-Earth, right? Well, Librans are usually in "Middle-Sky", but since serious Mr. Saturn has been hanging around your Sun you've been yanked down from your lovely castles (mine too, I'm a Libra). It will last through the summer. The funny thing is, you've just been given the raspberry by Jupiter flying past on the other side. This definitely should have made you giggle. Life is odd, no? All this seriousness cannot help but make you chuckle sometimes. Libras love to be zen about things. Keep your zen hat on.
In early May, around the New Moon on the 2nd we have a line-up of planetary energies in Aries which lead the Sun and Moon in Taurus. It is an important time for making those affirmations for our planet Earth and for our individual selves. Aries always implies action. Uranus is leading the group over the horizon in the morning, chattering about change, sudden change, even imposed change. We can do this, though, because our affirmations are brand new and we are ready to act on them.
Reassuringly, the Sun and Moon in Taurus come smiling over the horizon in May simply asking us to plant a tomato bush. Just one. One affirmation is enough.
