"Age of Transformation"
by Lucia Massarella, Earthing the Spirit
We are living in times of intense transformation. From an astrological point of view, we can see this. But, regardless of whether or not we believe in the stars having an affect on us, we can feel it. We can see it all around us. This energy of transformation is telling us to undo what we think we are, what we think we know, and remake ourselves... click here to continue... |

ASTROLOGY Update
October ~ November 2010
By Barbara Ybarra
Once again, just before the Sun moves into the next zodiac sign we receive a full Moon reflection on the last degree of the previous sign. This has been occurring for some months now, allowing us to truly build one brick upon another, emphasizing one stream of consciousness at a time. That is, if we've been paying attention. The Sun arrives on the 22nd of November into Sagittarius like a bird with a new song. Sagittarius always sings a song about hope and inspiration. This energy will carry us to the 11th of December where we bump into our third Mercury retrograde of the year in the last earth sign in the series: the ever serious Capricorn. Almost shockingly, at least to an astrologer, it is only one degree from Pluto. This is heavy stuff. Anyone with a December 26 or 27 birthday should make an appointment with me. For everyone else, hold off on signing papers that entail responsibilities from the 11th till the end of the month if you can. It may only be that something will need to be rewritten, but the worst case scenario would be difficult legal and political problems. This is a time to contemplate the seriousness of any responsibility that we undertake, big or small, and is not a time to make promises lightly that we may not keep. Great care should be taken with any words of commitment. It might be good also to avoid a marriage proposal during this time. The 14th of December is an oddball day in what will otherwise be an inspirational month. There is way too much obsessive mind control and fanaticism on this day. In fact, if it is your due date, if you are giving birth on that day, it is going to be a tough job for you as a parent, and you may want to see me for an outline of what to expect in the future in regards to parenting. I'm not saying there is evil, but there are great and strenuous demands on the child who is born on that day. For the rest of us, we need to be careful what we give birth to on the 14th of December. Next month I will be talking more about the Winter Solstice, which is the Sun's movement into the sign of Capricorn. The full Moon will once again present itself just while the Sun traverses the last degree of Sagittarius. This is a reminder to us to live the Sagittarius energy fully this month so that we are ready when the Winter Sun arrives. The full Moon is a celebration, a culmination, of our success at doing that. It is also a metaphor for the time period that we have left before arriving at the Great Cosmic Winter Sun which happens approximately every 26,000 years. Remember from now till the Winter Solstice that Sagittarius is about faith in abundance, about joy in the bounty that is ours here on Earth. Let us give thanks for what we have and truly appreciate the things that matter most - a smile on the face of a friend or family member, a pet or totem that comes around us to guide us, angels that are ever present beside us, and of course, pumpkin pie and chai (cha!!). Blessings. Barbara
