2nd WOW Rally - Newport, Rhode Island in June America's Cup will be holding the final leg of their touring AC World Series in Newport June 23rd - July 1st. Why don't we join them for another WindRider Owners' Week Rally? We will meet during the week as we know Newport will be very crowded. Fort Adams is our current planned meeting spot and they have a boat launch. There are still many details to be worked out, but if interested, you can tentatively block off these dates on your calendar and reserve a room in or around Newport. Even if you don't have a boat, please join us and take a test sail in the WindRider 17. Watch our website and next month's newsletter for more information. Owner's Forum - A Real Community Asset WindRider is very fortunate to have an active Owners Forum which provides information to existing and prospective WindRider sailing trimaran owners. This information is provided by knowledgeable and enthusiastic owners in order to help one another. Mr. Kim Haubert, a longtime WindRider owner, and Ms. Joanie Johnston, administer the site for all of us, and we appreciate their hard work and dedication. As an example of the information you might find, here is a thread regarding a lazy jack system complete with photos and description of how to construct your own. Special Offer for a pair of WR16's Buy 2 WR16's and receive $1,000.00 off. Sometimes it is just more fun to be the pilot than passenger, in which case two WR16's makes perfect sense. And as they say, whenever there are two sailboats in the same location, it's a race. If you haven't seen this video of the WR16 as produced with the help of designer Jim Brown several years ago, it is worth a look. And at MSRP $5495 the WR16 is a great value.
Testimonials Our customers do the best job of telling the WindRider story. Here is a great video clip from Marsh Creek Watersports which demonstrates the ease of WindRider sailing.
A recent prospective buyer testing a boat at Anna Maria Island, FL: "I was impressed by the ability of your boat to stand up to a bit of abuse - it was blowing 15-20 and I headed out the inlet into Tampa Bay just to see what the boat could do. Although it was hairy, the boat itself was really dry. I'd have been sweating bullets in a small monohull." And from WR16 owners in MN: "My wife and I are wind blown testimonials, having been introduced to the pleasures of sailing on a WindRider 16. As nautical novices, we would not have had the courage to learn to sail without the confidence afforded by the uniquely designed Wind Rider." And an owner in FL: "A few weeks ago I was scanning through the WR online store and saw that I could submit a product review. Having become a devotee of this sail craft for the last couple of years, I was thrilled at the opportunity to express my satisfaction. I felt that it was the least I could do to help out this great company in this very tight business environment." |
