Your brand new factory direct WindRider 17, when purchased with a trailer, is being delivered for FREE to your home (contiguous U.S., supplies may be limited) during the month of July.  This was a popular offer last December, given the convenience of a ready to sail WR17 arriving at your home or waterfront.  And what a great time of year to take advantage of this fantastic deal and enjoy your WR17. Print and send order form.

The WR17 is currently available in blue, yellow or white hulls at a price of $8995.  The customized galvanized steel Yacht Club trailer allows for easy slide on/off at a boat ramp ($1495).   It will arrive with minimal rigging required plus sliding the telescoping outriggers (amas) into position (about one hour's work but a manual is included or you can call the office for help) .  blue boat on trailer

You can see in the photo the amas come off and stack compactly over the boat for longer distance transport and the mast is on supports above the boat.

I pull my WR17 with a four cylinder VW Jetta to the local lake with the amas telescoped in.  This is why we call it "Sailing Simplified."

And don't forget about Jim Brown's WindFisher conversion kit.  Versatility is what increases the "relative fun" and now it's even greater with the WindFisher conversion kit.  The kit is free and will allow your WR17 to be a sailboat, fishing boat, camping boat and  even a swim platform.

white 17 two persons"My idea of sailing before I sailed in a WindRider 17 was of being in a prison cell with the possibility of drowning"

This statement from our newest Reseller, Alex Nash-Ford in Denver, CO really painted a picture for me.   Coincidentally, we had another testimonial, this one in a longer blog post via a post on our Facebook page.  Be sure to read this compelling story of a woman's fear of water overcome while sailing a WR16 solo.

"Sailing Simplified" means anyone can enjoy the experience of sailing.  It does not require specific training, a lot of time, or a lot of money to enjoy the feeling of the wind propelling you across the water.

WRTango WR 16 and WR Rave

The WRTango (aka WR10) is great for kids and adults to learn to sail, but as you can see in this recent photo on Lake Superior, it is also a "couples" boat.  What a bargain for only $2995.

The  WRTango is a great choice for experienced sailors and this perspective from the captain enjoying a day on the Gulf of Mexico gives you a good feel for the great sailing value you get.  It may feel like a kayak with a sail, but it sails like a sailboat and like the WR16 and WR17, is unlikely to tip over.

The new WR16 is expected to come off the production line in a few weeks.
We are awaiting cool new carbon fiber masts which will make the craft lighter. These models have been out of production for approximately 8 years, but are still loved by WindRider owners around the world.  Once again, people will be able to purchase a new WR16.

The WR RAVE continues to impress despite only a few dozen boats remaining in the market (production ended in 2003).  We intend to have a limited production run once a year in the fall based on orders placed before September 1st.  Watch our website for details on ordering a 2012 WR Rave or  click here.

I had to include this incredible photo from our Canadian friend, Rick Foisy whose WR17 enjoys quite a beautiful view sitting in this bay.  Never thought I'd want to trade places with a sailboat.

Thanks for your interest in WindRider, and don't hesitate to contact me with any requests or suggestions.
