Summer Bridge Classes

Tuesdays, 6:00-7:30, July 17 to Sept. 4

This winter we had a small bridge class that filled to overflowing before any publicity hit the newsletter or papers.  The Hamilton Duplicate Bridge Club generously gave each participant a copy of Audrey Grant's Bridge Basics 1.  Bridge enthusiast Bob Bonazoli did a fantastic job of convincing teacher Roy Clarke to take up the challenge of 8 sessions during the summer with a crowd in our Large Meeting room.  The Hamilton Duplicate Bridge Club is pitching in for books again, and the Friends are funding the program, we are asking participants to chip in $10 to help cover the cost of this class.  This course is open to teens & adults, no need to sign up with a partner, no experience necessary.  To get a feel for the game check out a teen bestseller that features bridge as the main activity which crosses generations:  Louis Sachar's Cardturner.
(Folks who took the winter sessions were so enthusiastic that we have added drop-in bridge games Wednesdays from 10-12; the group would like to see more players drop by, consider yourself invited.)
