Recommended Books
If you set aside time to indulge in reading, you want to know you won't be disappointed.  NoveList reader's advisory features are in our new catalog: when you select a title look at the right for the tab 'Suggestions by NoveList'. This tab features similar titles and authors.  For example, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks has 6 suggested titles of medical biography, as well as 10 author recommendations based on journalistic and scientific writing style.  This feature is a great way to browse the collection based on books you've enjoyed.  The 'Reviews' tab offers articles by Publisher's Weekly and Library Journal.
Do you need to spend some time in the garden but don't want to listen to traffic noise or the furious game of Marco Polo next door?  Try a playaway, or downloading an audio book to your ipod or other device.  Playaways are trim, pocket-friendly devices that are pre-loaded with one audiobook.
This month we've compiled a glorious list of staff recommendations and favorites.  It's at the bottom of this email, titles are linked to the catalog for rapid requesting.
