Independence Day Weekend Closings & Evergreen update.
The Library will be closed Saturday, July 2, through Monday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.
The Library staff thanks you for your patience as we navigated through the first weeks of our new consortium-wide switchover to Evergreen. Memorial Hall Library in Andover created an informational page which we have re-created and updated for our patrons. Andover's introduction says it best: "Visit our Frequently Asked Questions for information about Evergreen. We have tried to address some of the questions and concerns that have come up about the new system. Evergreen is open source software that is created, maintained, and enhanced by its community of users. We have a far greater ability to correct problems and to shape or create functionality that meets our specific needs. We know the system has some rough edges at the moment. In the coming months we'll be firming up the foundation of our new system, correcting the problems that come with any major change and then preparing to take advantage of the opportunities it provides to expand our services to you." |

 Three New Museum Passes
The Friends of the Hamilton-Wenham Public Library have generously funded three new passes for the public to enjoy. Explore Revolutionary times and the Transcendental era at the Concord Museum. "Concord's remarkable past is brought to life through an inspiring collection of historical, literary and decorative arts treasures." The Harvard Museum features the famous Glass Flowers, a 42-foot long Kronosaurus, butterflies, gems and minerals, including a 1,642 lb amethyst geode. Strawbery Banke presents restored houses, exhibits, historic landscaping & gardens to tell the stories of the many generations who settled in the Portsmouth NH area from the late 17th century to the mid 20th century. This brings our total number of passes up to 19 - don't miss out on some great day trips at discounted rates. View our total listing with all the details here on our museum pass reservation page. Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance, one pass per day. Please be sure to move through 5 screens to complete the reservation process, when you see: 'Your pass reservation is complete'.
