We are pleased to announce our Community Read in collaboration with Gordon College The Beverly Public Library and The Manchester Public Library.  Paul Harding is our featured Author. On Tuesday, November 3, 2010 we will have a book discussion about Tinkers at 7:00PM. We look forward to seeing you there.

Life in Violet

Author, Katherine Robertson comes to the library to share with us her book, Life in Violet. Come hear her speak on Wednesday, October 20th
at 7:00PM
.  She will also sign books for anyone who would like to purchase one. 

Katherine lives locally in Manchester by the Sea and much of her book is set on the North Shore.  This is a book about healing and about grace in unexpected places.  Don't miss hearing her.  For more information, please visit www.hwlibrary.org.

Saturday, October 23 at the Hamilton-Wenham Library, 1 - 3 p.m

Math = Fun!

Barbara Elleman, founding editor of 

Book Links magazine (American Library Association), trustee for the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art and the author of books on the work of Tomie dePaola and Virginia Lee Burton, will explore the alchemy of collaboration between Stuart J. Murphy, the author of the popular MathStart series, and the more than 30 illustrators who have brought the stories to life.

A book-signing with Elleman and Murphy will follow the talk.

The opening reception for the companion exhibit, "Stuart J. Murphy: Math = Fun," begins at 4 p.m. at Gallery. Call
