Our Conference Highlights
1) We Made the News! - We spoke with Megan Headley, Senior Editor of USGlass News Network, who featured us on the USGNN September Video Newscast, along with others who gave their views on the conference, state of the industry, and the economy. We invite you to view this conference recap by USGlass.
2) We Won an Award! - Blogger and USGlass News Network Publisher, Deb Levy, writes:
"Best Giveaway was no contest today. It's slam dunk for Glasswerks. They gave out personal mini fans which spelled the company's name in lights as it cooled some sweaty Vegas faces. Cool give-away in lots of ways..."
Although it was an informal award, we really appreciated the recognition. Thanks Deb!
We've also been making good use of award-winning fans to survive the Los Angeles heat wave.
3) We Threw a Great Party!  - We had a tremendous turnout at our V.I.P Hospitality Event. The event began before schedule and ended well beyond 8 p.m.! See pictures here.
Thanks to the extended time, we were able to catch up with old friends, make many new acquaintances, and spend quality time with our customers and partners.

Glass T.V. Stand by Elite Glass  | Great Glasswerk
We are proud to be a part of our customers' glass work. We are always looking for opportunities to showcase projects we've helped accomplished, such as this All-Glass T.V. Stand at Turnberry Tower Residence by Elite Glass of Las Vegas.
Fabrication: Charlie Dycus and Dale Lea of Elite Glass fabricated the stand in just two short days. 
Location: Custom built for a private residence, this all-glass structure was expedited for new Las Vegas condo owners who were eager to receive the stand prior to their move-in.
Specs: Glasswerks supplied the 3/4" and 1/2"
Starphire Glass which were UV bonded to secure the structure. Shelf support was meticulously aligned, then UV bonded together. The T.V. stand's backing is a 1/4" Satin Etch Starphire mirror with hole drilled through used to cover cable wires and maintain the sleek design.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to attend GlassBuild this year. Conferences remain as the venues which resonate the pulse of the market, the people, and the culture of an industry. GlassBuild America is no exception.
Much like last year's conference in Atlanta, concerns about the economy, as well as views on the lackluster expo attendance, were freely exchanged. However, most opinions I heard were marked with a hopeful optimism for 2011.
I believe our economy will not double-dip and have already seen signs of an uptake in our industry. I agree that 2011 is when we'll really start to go!
As we approach the final quarter of 2010, we look forward to seeing what the future brings, and hope you join us as we enter the new year.
