Summer Honors

Nine students received Honors Summer Research Fellowships for the 2012 program. The award includes a stipend and it provides Sweet Briar students with the opportunity to carry out a research-based or creative project under guidance from a faculty mentor during an intensive eight-week session.

During the first part of the summer program faculty mentors give talks on their research interests. At the conclusion of the program each student will give a formal presentation on her research project. The faculty and student presentations are open to the campus community and they provide an invigorating intellectual spark to the summer atmosphere.
