Dear Sweet Briar Alumnae, Parents and Friends,
After each meeting of Sweet Briar's Board of Directors, my practice is to send a written report to the campus community outlining major points discussed and decisions reached. This report is followed by open meetings for faculty, staff, and students to answer questions and hear comments. All of these reports are posted on the President's page of the website under "remarks." (If you follow my blog you are already aware of this, as I frequently summarize these reports there as well.)
I want to bring my report from the meeting of April 26-28, 2012, to your attention in case you have not had a chance to read it. It outlines a number of changes we are making on campus to help us realize the goals outlined in the Plan for Sustainable Excellence. You should also read the College's statement in response to an article that appeared in the Lynchburg News and Advance... I hope that you will find both interesting and helpful.
Each year during Reunion Weekend I give a brief update on the College. If you are interested in tuning in this year, it will be live streamed on Saturday, May 19 at 11:15 a.m., just go to sbc.edu/live to participate.
