British Council's Skills for Employability Programme reached 70 million people across the globe. Skills for Employability, the British Council's flagship programme for skills development and vocational education uses a wide range of products, services to reach its target audience. With skills development partnerships, enterprise challenge competitions and policy dialogue events, the programme operates in 38 countries, each with its own needs, but all sharing the goal of growing a skilled labour force. Many countries face the challenges of high unemployment, skills shortages and a disconnection between the education system and current and future needs of employers and wider society. Across the world, the British Council has been working with major national and multinational companies as well as Ministries of Education, education institutions and the labour market to help reduce this. In this issue of the Skills for Employability newsletter, we would like to share some of the interesting stories about our work.
