Cost Trends in Health Benefits
The OCC, together with human resourcing consulting firm Mercer, have developed the first chapter in the OCC's new policy work on health care, Cost Trends in Health Benefits for Ontario Businesses: Analysis for Discussion. More information on the report can be found on the OCC website.
OCC Concerned About Rising WSIB Premiums
With increasing debt loads and recommendations to increase employer premiums, the OCC believes institutional reform should be a key component of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board's (WSIB) long term strategy, in order to achieve a self-sustaining system. This sentiment is expressed in the OCC's latest WSIB submission. More information on the WSIB submission can be found on the OCC website.

The Alliston & District Chamber of Commerce is pleased to once again collect items for People in Transition "My Sister's Place", the local women's shelter. We will be collecting these items at the Chamber office and donating them to the shelter for the holiday season. If you are interested in donating to this worthwhile cause the items this year that they are most in need of are:
~ Women's and children's toiletries - regular sized (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, bubble bath, hair gel, hairspray, hair colouring, hair combs & brushes)
~ Towels - bath, hand and face towels
~ Gift certificates/gift cards
We appreciate any items you may be able to donate. Please pass on the word to anyone you think may be interested in donating. |
